COROMANDEL PENINSULA SLIP RESPONSE

When torrential July weather hit, our staff were out in full force for five days closing roads and cordoning off multiple slips across the East Coast of the Coromandel.

Thames crews responded alongside staff sent over from Hamilton so everyone stayed well rested. Fast, reliable callout response is a real strength of ours, and the community showed their thanks, dropping off food and gifts to the crews out in the cold.
